![]() ![]() From the camera to the internal hardware, everything about this device should give any user all the power needed for all their tasks. In theory, all the parts mesh together to form an experience that screams power and performance that isn’t quite like the rest. Some seem to suggest it’s not great for high speed and gentle turns though. The whole idea behind the OPPO A96 was that it was Designed to be Powerful. They’re lighter, more directional yet still playful, and do well in both hard and soft snow. From what I’ve read they seem like they kind of answer all the concerns I have about the Kartels. I have an opportunity to get a pair of rustler 9s. But again I haven’t actually skid or mounted them ![]() I’m interested in jumps but not super worried about spins and rails. I’ve only ever been on rentals (yes I’ve take a bit of a plunge going straight for the Kartel) so I don’t know if I’m going to enjoy the center mount/less directional feel. I also worry they might be a little too parky vs a traditional ski. I do worry a bit that the kartels wont be as strong on hard snow as I need them to be, and that they might be a bit big/bulky and tough to turn (I have some knee issues). I wanted a “do everything” freeride type skin for the east coast that could perform in hard snow but also venture off piste and play in trees and on cool features, and wouldn’t become crazily unstable at speed. I recently bought my first pair of skis that I haven’t gotten a chance to use yet: the Kartel 96. ![]()
